I had the distinct honor and joy of being invited to attend one of the CROSS Train men’s retreat last August 2018. I wasn’t much on such events. My life is very busy and I am an introvert, so if it wasn’t for the quality of Bill as a person I doubt I would have committed myself to such a getaway. I was glad I did force myself.

I watched men from varied walks of life, different economic and social classes, come together under the careful guiding hand of Bill, as he humbly set the course and led men into the Presence of God. Walls and perceived differences were obliterated, and souls stood bare yet found support within a newly minted sense of brotherhood.

It remains one of the most shining memories in my Christian walk of seeing yet again, the power of the Gospel in action and bringing healing and renewed life. Bill was able to navigate this tricky and sometimes sharply broken soul terrain with a tender listening ear and skill of a surgeon.

But it was less a display of medical expertise, yet more the out stretch of a Father’s heart. It was a 3 day event marked less with discussions littered with inquisitive observations, but much the hearts of a fellow sojourners who knew the pains, familiar hurts and who seemed to understand. The Holy Spirit was present and souls felt heard, which ushered in the healing. Glory to God!

Couldn’t recommend Bill high enough and validate his calling in Christ to minister to men’s souls and the Retreats are a finely tuned tool fitted unto that end.
